Produced in cooperation with Nevada Conservatory Theatre, Passage by Christopher Chen is a gripping, abstract exploration of colonialism, power, and human connection set in a fictional occupied country. Inspired by E.M. Forster’s A Passage to India, the play unfolds through revelatory encounters between citizens of the occupying – and occupied – nations, raising urgent questions about bias, understanding, and the limits of cultural empathy. With minimalist staging and a heightened, allegorical style, Passage invites audiences to examine the complexities of privilege and perception in an increasingly divided world.
