Give us one Saturday and you will cross something off the someday list — the balloon, the desert, the wine, the dinner — without planning a single detail of it, surrounded by women who will never let you forget you did it.

You arrive as someone who has been meaning to. You go home as someone who did.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

You have taken the meeting. You have made the deadline. You have not, recently, watched the desert go gold from a thousand feet up with a glass in your hand and nowhere to be.

Sunset in the Sky is one day, start to finish, handled. A private coach collects us in Las Vegas and points us toward Pahrump. There’s a hot-air balloon with your name on it. There’s a vineyard afterward, and a table set for dinner, and a ride home where somebody else does the driving and you do the talking.

You’ll leave with a custom travel mug — chocolate, Nevada honey, a tea sachet, and a postcard for whatever adventure you decide comes next. You’ll also leave with the kind of story you tell with your whole body, because you were there and you were actually in it.

Twelve to sixteen seats. Not because it’s precious — because that’s how many fit.

THE DAY

We meet in Las Vegas between 12:30 and 12:45 PM and depart at 1:00 sharp. The balloon experience begins around 2:30. From there it’s a vineyard tasting at about 4:15, dinner at five, and we point back toward Las Vegas around 6:30. You’ll be home between 7:30 and 7:45 PM. Seven hours, door to door.

GOOD TO KNOW

Balloon flights are weather-dependent, and the operator sets the schedule on the day. Dress in layers and wear closed-toe shoes. A waiver from the balloon company is required before the event. Because the balloon operates on a fixed schedule, the coach departs at 1:00 PM and cannot wait for late arrivals.
