The Friday afternoon slot on August 28 — the one-year anniversary week of the show’s premiere — is a great moment to see what Sphere was actually built for.
The Wizard of Oz was reimagined specifically for this room: Google AI upscaled the original footage to 16K, the full score was re-recorded with a live orchestra, and sensory effects run throughout every screening. Wind, haptics, fog, and scent make each sequence register in ways that a normal screen simply cannot replicate. Las Vegas has the only venue where this exists.
