Monday, July 20 at 5:00 PM marks another week in what has become a genuinely extended Sphere run for The Wizard of Oz, still drawing Las Vegas audiences deep into the summer residency.
The production uses 4D effects — real wind, fog, snow, fire, and UAV-deployed flying monkeys — alongside Sphere’s 16K wraparound display and 167,000-speaker sound system to give the 1939 classic a sensory dimension it has never had before. Las Vegas embraced this version of the film at a scale that nobody fully anticipated when it opened.
