Thursday, July 16 at 2:00 PM, Sphere’s afternoon show of The Wizard of Oz gives you a few hours inside the venue’s 160,000-square-foot wraparound display — the largest immersive screen in existence anywhere in the world.
Google AI expanded every original 1939 frame to fill that screen, generating new imagery beyond what the original cameras captured and integrating it seamlessly with the source footage. The effect is a Dorothy and Oz that fills your peripheral vision in every direction, which no previous Las Vegas version of this film has ever managed.
