The Wizard of Oz at Sphere

Sunday, July 12 opens at 11:00 AM at Sphere with The Wizard of Oz, and the morning slot has a particular quality in Las Vegas: you walk in off the bright summer morning and step directly into the sepia Kansas of 1939.

The production then expands that world across 160,000 square feet of 16K wraparound screen, adds physical effects at every celebrated beat, and drives a fully remastered score through 167,000 speakers. Wind, fog, snow, and fire arrive on cue, and the infrasound haptic seats deliver what the screen and speakers alone cannot. The contrast between outside and inside Sphere is part of the experience — that shift is something you feel before the first frame of the film appears.
