Friday, October 16 at 2:00 PM — Sphere opens a fall weekend afternoon with The Wizard of Oz, the run that’s become the cornerstone of Las Vegas’s live-experience scene.
Every frame of the 1939 film was AI-upscaled for Sphere’s 16K display by Google, using Veo 2 and Imagen 3 to generate imagery beyond the original frame edges. The re-recorded orchestral score plays at a scale the original never had. Live haptics, wind, fog, and scent fill the room throughout. A Las Vegas Friday afternoon with this kind of start is a good Friday.
