Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production of The Phantom of the Opera opens its Las Vegas run on Wednesday, October 21, at Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center — the first night of what becomes a nearly two-week engagement in downtown Las Vegas.
Built on the rapturously received 2021 London revival at His Majesty’s Theatre, the touring production features a 38-person cast, a 14-musician live orchestra, and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sweeping score in one of the finest concert halls in the region. Isaiah Bailey leads as the Phantom, with Jordan Lee Gilbert as Christine. Reynolds Hall’s acoustics were designed for exactly this kind of full theatrical spectacle, and the first night of a run carries its own particular electricity.
