Often compared to Sinatra, Karrant was named one of the top 12 rising jazz vocalists by DownBeat magazine, and his live album recorded right here at The Smith Center hit No. 2 on the iTunes Jazz Chart.
He works straight from the American Songbook with a confidence and swing that owes as much to Mel Tormé as to anyone. A Tuesday night in Las Vegas rarely offers this much elegance in such an intimate setting.
