Inkwell July Workshop with Sammi Walker

In this workshop we will be exploring cliches and how we can take these familiar ideas and phrases and instead of avoiding them all together we will look at why they are important and what they bring to the reader or listener. Using different writing exercises, we will turn the cliches on their head. Whether it’s adding to them or taking things away or even mashing two together to make something new entirely! We will also be talking about why it’s important to spice up your writing and different ways you can play with language to bring something new to the table.
