Inkwell February Workshop with Carolyn Oliver

Clark County Office of Public Arts presents Inkwell Poetry! These monthly online events will feature an accomplished poet mentor who will lead attendees in workshops with unique themes and topics for poets of all ages and experience levels.

Epistolary poems are composed in the form of letters, and they offer nearly endless opportunities for variation in style and subject. Elegiac or celebratory, private or public, bitter or tender, epistolary poems share an awareness of distance—physical, temporal, emotional—between writer and recipient. Join poet Carolyn Oliver to explore how these poems can focus our attention and lead to surprising insights. Following a presentation on epistolary poetry, attendees will have the opportunity to draft and share their own epistolary poems during a guided workshop.
