Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas hosts Gwar on Saturday with doors at 6:00 PM — the Virginia shock-metal collective’s early start giving them maximum time to deliver the elaborate theatrical chaos that is the entire point of attending a Gwar show.
Their performances are equal parts extreme metal concert and full-on absurdist theatrical spectacle — costumes, stage props, confrontational physicality, and a four-decade commitment to being the most aggressively bizarre thing happening in any given venue on any given night. Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas is one of the few rooms in the city where Gwar’s production actually fits the space.
