Friday night, June 5th at 9:30 PM, Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club on the Las Vegas Strip gets a late-night jolt from Craig Gass — one of the sharpest impressionist-comedians working clubs today.
Gass grew up in a deaf family and literally learned to speak by mimicking television voices, which explains why his method-acting approach to celebrity impressions — Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Adam Sandler, Gene Simmons, among dozens — hits with a precision that goes beyond technique and feels genuinely uncanny. Variety called his delivery machine-gun style paired with fall-down-laughing storytelling, and that is not overselling it. Late-night Las Vegas comedy does not get much more distinctive than what Gass does on this stage.
