Pre-Halloween Thursday at 7:00 PM is an interesting entry point for the Comedy Cellar’s showcase: the city is building toward the weekend and the room catches that energy early. Five TV headliners rotate through 20-minute sets in the 300-seat Rio club modeled on the original Greenwich Village space. Las Vegas in late October doesn’t lack for entertainment; this is the room that delivers laughs without a costume required.
