Las Vegas Little Theater
The Las Vegas Little Theatre (LVLT), Southern Nevada’s oldest community theatre, has a rich history and a strong commitment to the community. Founded in 1978 by Jack Bell and Jack Nickolson, LVLT began in a converted storefront with an initial seating capacity of just 48. Over the years, the theatre has grown and relocated to a larger, renovated space, made possible by the support of patrons, local businesses, and the hard work of dedicated volunteers.
LVLT has a mission to increase awareness of theatre arts in Southern Nevada, provide quality productions, and offer educational, hands-on opportunities in all facets of theatre production. The theatre has presented many critically acclaimed and award-winning plays, such as “Master Harold…and the Boys,” “Purple Hearts,” “The Woolgatherer,” “Master Class,” and “A Streetcar Named Desire,” among others.
The theatre is governed by a Board of Directors and has received support from the CARES Act and grants from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. Their long-range goal is to secure a permanent, LVLT-owned facility to stage their productions and offer increased services to the community.
For more information about their current productions, box office hours, and other details, visit the Las Vegas Little Theatre website. LVLT continues to be a vital part of the Las Vegas arts community, offering a platform for local talent and quality theatrical experiences for its audience.
