Hawkins Sand Harbor State Park in Incline Village\, Nevada\, and starts at 7:30 p.m. The second performance is July 29\, 2026\, at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater at Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Reno\, Nevada. \n“From Frank Sinatra’s smooth swagger to Elvis’s rock ’n’ roll grooves\, and Tom Jones’s powerhouse hits\, Matt Mauser brings the music of these unforgettable artists to life through dynamic performances that entertain audiences across every generation\,” said Greg Johnson\, music director for the Reno Jazz Orchestra. \nPraised by members of Sinatra’s family for his aptitude in capturing the essence of Frank’s music and charisma\, Mauser also brings his own signature style to the stage. The stage will feature scaffolding and exciting props and sets that will create a visual spectacle that cannot be missed. \nThanks to generous support from the Robert Z. Hawkins Foundation\, the E.L. Cord Foundation\, and the Arthur and Mae Orvis Foundation\, the rock ballet Vortex is free to the public. The gates open at 7 p.m. for picnicking and the shows begin at 8:30 p.m. \nA.V.A. Ballet Theatre is the resident ballet company for the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. They are northern Nevada’s largest company under the instruction of a professional faculty with years of performing experience in renowned metropolitan ballet and production companies across the United States and Europe. \nVortex during the month of July is part of the 31st annual Artown festival.
