Each artist presents a perspective\, using painting and drawing to investigate identity\, perception\, and the complexities of human expression. My subjects are women\, depicted in vulnerable poses\, placed into ominous environments that turn beauty into something both admired and threatened. By repeating the same two images across five different mediums\, I amplify and condemn the tension between desire and fear.” \nAileen Huerta on their work: “En Tu Ausencia” (in your absence) is a series of acrylic paintings exploring the emotional impact of growing up with an absent parent. Art with Nature is about making art with nature\, creating positively and sustainably with our environment and\, by extension\, ourselves.  \nArt with Nature is an exhibit that showcases artwork by the children of Desert Peach Montessori School. Students made art with natural and upcycled materials\, following the lessons of teaching artist Zoe Bray. All art was constructed outside\, under varying weather conditions\, to the children’s delight.  \nDesert Peach is a member of the Wildflower Network of schools. Wildflower is an ecosystem of decentralized Montessori micro-schools that support children\, teachers\, and parents. Wildflower aspires to give all children and families the opportunity to choose high-quality\, beautiful learning environments as they follow life’s unfolding journey. Desert Peach Montessori School offers equitable access to a nurturing\, authentic Montessori environment.
