Using the humble postcard as both artwork and message\, this exhibition transforms personal expression into a shared act of connection—one that crosses distance\, isolation\, and silence. \nAt the edge of geography\, culture\, and visibility\, queer communities in Nevada have long cultivated resilience through creativity\, humor\, tenderness\, and mutual support. This exhibition honors those lived experiences by creating space for artists of all backgrounds to speak directly to the queer community—past\, present\, and future—through words and images meant to be held\, sent\, and remembered. \nPostcards From the Edge (of Nevada) is not just a collection of artworks\, but a living archive of care. DESCRIPTION:April Fools fun: people who are “in the know” are invited to bring gullible friends (especially teens!) to get a free book and have it signed by Mark Twain.\nThere are two different times to attend: 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. \nThe first 300 people will receive a free book! Twain will be impersonated by McAvoy Layne of Lake Tahoe. He is a hilarious and believable Twain who’s performed internationally and earned many awards.\nTwain and local author legend\, Todd Borg\, will sign books\, read from their books\, and answer questions. Plus\, at least 15 local authors will sign and mingle!\nThis prank kicks off April: Local Authors Month. Grassroots will showcase books from 100+ local authors (no joke)!

DESCRIPTION:The photographic practice of Steven Seidenberg explores a material world of the unnoticed\, fixing attention on structures\, environments\, and landscapes often hidden in plain sight. Three photographic series are combined in this exhibition; each focuses on past and present living conditions in a different area of the world (Puglia and Rome\, Italy; Kanazawa\, Japan).
