After surviving cancer\, she attributes her healing to Jesus Christ\, who has since become a prominent subject in her art. Mayang works primarily in acrylic painting but also creates digital illustrations and handmade jewelry. Her work often features bold pastel colors and striking combinations that reflect both her spiritual journey and cultural heritage. \nExhibition Statement:Balik Tanaw—meaning “to look back”—is a return to roots and a rediscovery of identity. Through paintings inspired by food\, family\, faith\, and memories of the Philippines\, Mayang reflects on the traditions and relationships that shape her life.
